Guest guest
Arnie, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all the Canadians out there! Some years I will go past full, but I can’t go to far, my body just won’t let me. But when I first started IE and Thanksgiving came around, I remembered that it was my choice to eat to satisfied or go beyond it. So you can make a choice whether to overeat or not, and neither decision is wrong, you made a choice. Another thing you can do is set an intention – ask yourself how you want to feel when you are done, that can really help you from feeling bloated or sick, unless you want to. Enjoy your holiday! Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving day to all my fellow Canadians! We have guests from England staying with us right now and my Mother-in- law is coming over for the big turkey dinner tonight. I'm looking forward to it. I wonder how I'll do with stopping when full. Being thanksgiving day it makes me think of all the things I have to be grateful for. There is a lot and IE and this group are near the top, so thanks. Arnie IEing since Aug
Guest guest
Hi Gillian, Yup, I may eat a little more than ussual tonight because of the sheer abundance of great food and good company and I'm perfectly okay with that. Thanks for the reminder about asking myself how I want to feel when done. I've used that a couple events in the past and it's a great thing to do. It didn't cross my mind today, so thanks for the reminder. I really wouldn't want to eat to the point of stuffed and feeling crappy, that would just ruin the evening. The other good thing about tonight is that since dinner is at home and there will be leftovers, I can have more of anything I enjoy again tomorrow, or later tonight if I find myself hungry again later.
