Hello All,

Is there anyone on Cimzia? I went to the Rheumatologist today and he opted

for Cymzia instead of the Enbrel. According to him my inflammation markers

are higher and the Cimzia is stronger than the Enbrel. I have Lupus and RA

and I think these RA drugs are a catch 22 with my Lupus. Let me know how

you are doing with Cimzia and how long have you taken it.

Hi Kami,

Got my second dose yesterday got real sick. I can barely stand up...it feels

like I am coming down with a horrible case of the flu. Furthermore, I got a

horrid migraine with shooting pains in my eye ball as well as my ankle and

wrist joints. Today I still have that off balance feeling, my face is

flushed and it also feels like my Lupus is flaring. Talk to the doctor and

the covering doctor stated that it could be affecting the Lupus.. I know

that you said that there is a loading dose phase - how long did this loading

phase for you? Did you get similar symptoms.

Hi Vivian!

I am sorry to hear that your second dose made you ill! Wow! I have never had

anything like that happen although after 3 months my liver enzymes have come

back elevated enough that my rheumy has pulled me off the meds for a month and

then will retest to see if it is indeed the Cimzia. I hope not because I really

felt it was working!!!!!

Loading was 400 mg over 4 weeks. I must admit I felt better on 400 mg every 2

weeks than the 200 I am (was) on until now!

What did your rheumy suggest? Is he pulling you off the med?
