There was a post about IE on shapelyprose.com yesterday. There's also

a post kinds sorta pertaining to IE on fitinreallife.com, if anyone is

interested.

The one on Shapely Prose REALLY resonated with me. She writes about

sitting with her cravings for a while, in order to see if it's an

actual craving for a Chipotle burrito (and her description of that is

GREAT!) or for something else.

She also writes about how many of us women bury our own wants and

needs in order to take care of everyone else. I realize this isn't

exactly a surprise, lol!, but something about her post just clicked a

lightbulb on for me. Because my kids are so young, and they have

Autism, everything I have is put toward either taking care of them or

working. I love my job, but it recently occurred to me that, at any

time, I am doing 1 of 3 things; working, taking care of the kids and

house, or grocery shopping. And that's pretty much it.

Which is just sad and wrong, lol!

My husband and one of his longtime friends meet up once a week to go

rock climbing. And it's a great thing! Hubby works hard at 2 jobs

AND goes to school, and he needs that outlet. So I'm taking a cue

from him. I'm gonna scout around and see what, besides reading and

working out, I like to do, and then I'm gonna make time and do it!!!

I've spent so much time and brainpower obsessing over food and weight.

If I can put that energy into something else...wow! Forget about the

energy crisis, I could power the state, lol!
