Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I would give it more time. Three weeks is not enough time into the MTX program to expect great change. I have now been on it for some 7 weeks and have noticeable improvement in joint function and less pain. Hang in there
Guest guest
Hi Lynn, MTX can take anywhere from 3-8 weeks to kick in and start lessening your joint pain. You might possibly need an increased dosage, but your rheumy should evaluate that. Stick with it. Don't forget to take your Folic Acid and get the regular blood tests that your rheumy recommends. Luckily, Disney is very Handicap friendly. Rent a wheelchair if you really don't feel up to walking. The BIG plus on that is that for the most part, you and your party get to skip the long lines!!! Stay Well,
Guest guest
Ok, I had an iron transfusion on Friday. My levels were very low, like walking dead low. It's Tuesday and I am still winded from walking up the stairs. Should I call the hemotologist? Or does it take a long time for the iron to kick in? The nurse made it sound like it would be almost instant energy!
Guest guest
, I'm about to start to my iron infusions, and I have to do 3 to 4 weeks of them before I start to feel better. Guest guest
Hi .     I have had 3 transfusions in the past 3 years.  I felt so much better shortly after having each one. I also took high doses of Iron for a year after. I thought my tiredness was my sluggish Thyroid or my RA. It was caused by the RA. I see you are so very tired, so perhaps it will take a little longer for you to see the difference. It might be a good idea to call the Hemotologist just to see if this is normal you not feeling much better so far.     I hope you will be feeling so much better soon. That kind of tiredness is just awful. You can't do much at all. Sleep does not help either. Take care of yourself and rest when ever you can.  Hugs,  Barbara From: ldydewinter <kgrounds@...> Subject: [ ] When will I feel better?
