Guest guest
I have pain in lots of places without swelling after 20 years of RA and Fibro, and have been treated with Neurontin with no luck and now with Lyrica. It seemed to work a little at first but I went back to normal in a couple of days. When I stopped taking it, I had so much pain I couldn't stand it. I had to get a new supply of Lyrica and am tapering off, hoping I can quit since it's so expensive and not doing anything for me. It's hard to deal with chronic pain when we don't know where it's coming from or what's causing it. It sounds like your doctor hasn't hit on the right meds for you. It'll happen sometime, don't give up hope yet. I've had some depressing times and was prescribed Amitriptyline for it. It seemed to just help put me to sleep, but never made me feel better. After the heart surgery, the doctor gave me Mirtazapine. It doesn't do much for sleep but I feel so much better otherwise it's working for me and I'll stay with it as long as I need it. Guest guest
Neurontin made me looney tooney and I was taking for the reason of Lyrica was to expensive. I ran into a Lyrica rep at a doctors appointment, I explained I wanted Lyrica but it was to much $. She gave me a card that assured no matter the dose or quanity its $25 for a year! You can also go to Lyrica website where they have different ways for you to afford the drug. You also have to give it time and if its not working try and up the dose before giving up on it. Guest guest
Neurontin made me simply murderous when I was on it for sciatica and other nerve issues. I was on 16 capsules a day ( don't remember the dosage-sorry ) . That doesn't mean that it won't help you though. Hope you find your dream cocktail for meds soon. This RA stuff sucks wind.
