If it's not one thing,it's another. Also, I have nodules in my lungs, but my doc doesnt seem to think my coughing is due to them.Any input would be appreciated. > Thanks,Heidi in PA >
Guest guest
Hi Heidi: I am sorry you have been so sick. I have had pneumonia so many times, I have lost count. I also get U.R.I. infections easily. Yes, RA reared its ugly head on me 6 1/2 years ago. It is a mean, ugly disease. I have a lung dr. who saw me in each hospital stay. 2 years ago, both lungs had several nodules. So, over many months I had MRI's, then the P.E.T. xrays. All the nodules finally were gone, thank God. I was very scared through all this. I did have the Bronco. test, but under sedation in the O.R. My dr. went down into the lungs, and did a small biopsy. It was fine. I too had a terrible cough each time I got sick. It was very hard to get rid of it. It often took months to go away. I dred getting that sick again. I do the best I can to protect myself. Due to our weakened immune system, we get things so easily. I try not to be in the public to often. I do rest a lot each day. I hope things improve with you. These illnesses take so much out of us. I hope your test results come out good, and hopefully your lung noduels will go away as mine did. Wishing you better days ahead. Guest guest
Sorry to hear this, Heidi. I hope everything will go smoothly on Monday and that it isn't the Orencia. Guest guest
Heidi, My prayers are with you. I had pneumonia in July. In fact I almost died from it due to the Humira and my immune system so low. I did not know how sick I was. I was not coughing, no fever, nothing except being overly tired. My immune system was not even trying to fight. To make a long story short I ended up in the ditch on my way to work that day. Had stopped breathing, if it were not for the lady behind me stopping and efficiency of the local EMT's to do mouth to mouth until the ambulance could get me intubated I would be dead. I was life flighted out immediately. I did have the test you are talking about but to tell you the truth I was out of it most of the time and cannot really remember. That was when I finally was forced to stop working. Please Hon, do the tests, watch your body closely while taking Orencia. These drugs do help us, and RA, Fibro, all of these diseases are so debilitating we need them but no one knows our bodies like we do. I was lucky, if you can call it that, I was given back all of my meds including Humira and MTX this month. I just need to up my Rheumy visits and blood work for now. Heidi, please know we care here. Even those of us like me, who find it very hard to sit at the computer for long periods, do read, we do send out prayers, etc. Vicki Iowa
