Question re: C-Reactive Protein Level

What does it mean if your C-Reactive Protein Level is still high (11.04) after 8

tabs of MTX weekly, 5 mgs of predni daily, weekly Enbrel shots (I take other

meds too, like Folic Acid)?

Does the folic acid reduce the efficacy of the MTX? Can you take more MTX than

8 tabs weekly? Does this mean the ENBREL is not working enuf?

? Any tips. My new rheumy just quit and I thought she wasnt so hot anyways.

I told her I was loosing my hair, so she made me go down to 4 MTX pills, after 2

weeks I felt the inflamm go sky high and I put myself back on the 8 MTX a month

ago...I go back to her, and asked her to take my blood and see whats up, and I

got these results:

My RDW was 16.1 and the C-Reactive was 11.04 everything else was fairly

normal.....

Now that she quit, she referred me to another Rheumy and I have to start all

over again.
