Speaking of Weaning Off - What about Pain Meds?

Hi Group:

All this talking about weaning off predni, and I began to think...will we ever

be off Pain Meds. At first, my paid was sometimes unbearable, so I went to

Pain/Palliative Care Management and BOY did she help me...with Opana (Morphine),

I take 40 mgs a day and sometimes I still have pain, but its tolerable and

manageable, but I wonder....will I ever get off it?

10 months into this " gig " and I dont feel like I am in a remission, since every

day is different......

Should I be worried about this? Does it matter if you take pain meds long-term?

5mgs of predni daily dont seem to be causing me troubles, so far either.....I

just wonder about the long-term.

Has anybody here taken pain meds long time?
