Wow you have been on methotrexate that long? Is it still working for you.

I also have not gotten since in the two years since i started.

I've been taking methotrexate for almost 20 years and haven't been sick with

anything other than a couple of bouts of pneumonia that may have been caused

partially from the MTX. I certainly wouldn't even think of trying to 'boost

his immune system'. That can be dangerous, fighting against the medicine

taken to subdue the over-active immune system. Both of you will have to do

all you can to keep from getting sick. Washing hands and the normal

protective practices should be enough.

I take it by injection as the pills made me so queasy and it is easy to do

myself. It still works though I have been on various other drugs with it

over the years - now it's Humira. I sort of pushed for the Humira and it

has made me feel stronger. Beofre I was too fatigued to exercise much. My

muscles just got way too tired.

Now I have a bit more muscle than I had when I started, not that you would

say I do much. It is a modified form of Pilates that I do
