Guest guest
hello RA fam.** insert whiner/rant disclaimer here!!** The last two nights my neck, shoulder, and arm have hurt so badly that I basically napped from 3 a.m. til 5:30 when i got up for work. (still work 40 hr/stressful weeks and down to 3 days leave left for 2010.) 4 hours of sleep out of 48 doesn't work so well for me! I had a 3 level c-spine fusion about, oh, 13 years ago. Seems like every once in a while all that metal decides to mutiny. The last time this happened they sent me back to my neurosurgeon to review the new MRI. His reaction was to view the MRI and say what a wonderful job he had done on the fusion. it was " obviously flawless " and that couldn't be my problem. As far as he was concerned his job was done.(Brilliant but narcissistic.) I have now been either sick or flared up constantly, without respite, since spring and I am SO darn tired of the continual need to keep going in spite of it. I don't wish for a vacation from my body very often, but Lord I would love just one night pain free and peaceful. If anyone ever figures out how to run away from RA for the day, hook a sister up, OK? well, at least it's under 107 degrees today....;O)counting my blessings. jane in dallas
Guest guest
I hear you. I think my flare up has lasted a year? I'm in pain...but I know it could be worse...so I'm happy to sort of be able to function, but I wish I would go back to 100% normal w/ energy! This disease is annoying, because it makes you so tired, but you can't sleep due to the pain! You have to sleep at some point...so maybe your body will let you. Have you gotten a 2nd opinion from another Dr? > > hello RA fam.** insert whiner/rant disclaimer here!!** > The last two nights my neck, shoulder, and arm have hurt so badly that I basically napped from 3 a.m. til 5:30 when i got up for work.
