Hey .

My Rheumy doesn't prescribe my pain meds. My GP does. My GP and my Rheumy work

together on my RA. They talk and they see what each other has done via

electronic medical records. They both belong to the same hospital system so

they can access the same records. When I have my flares, I usually contact my

GP and work with him on it. If he has questions he then calls my Rheumy and

talks to him. It is a great arrangement. I know that most people don't have

this arrangement so I'm lucky. You may want to contact your GP for the pain

meds.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your input. It sounds like you are in good hands. That is great!

I have talk to my GP and she prefers to leave the pain med situation to the

Rheumy. They don't work together and aren't in the same area. That would be

nice though. I like my GP. Very hard to find a doctor I like and can talk to.

I'm just now trying out my third Rheumy. Too soon to judge her as of yet. I've

only seen her once.

Thank you for your response to my post. Hope you are having a good day.
