I have been on Remicade for the last 5 years except for a 6 month period in 2009

when I was on Humira. I'm very satisfied with both drugs for my Crohns.

However, I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis as a complication of Crohns and

neither drug has helped the RA.

My Crohns and RA doctor claim they are the only heavy drugs I can use because of

my Crohns for both problems.

Has anyone tried another drug with their Dr's approval that did work on both?

The RA has only become worse over the years. Any suggestions would be greatly

appreciated. I watch what I eat, but even something to do with my diet might be

helpful.

Hi JM,

Do you also take a weekly dose of methotrexate?

Thank you for your response. I was on Methotrexate for 15 weeks in 09. According

to my journal it " might have " helped. This is the only drug I'm considering

asking about during my next appointment. Have you used Methotrexate and if so

how long were you on it before you noticed a improvement?
