new member - RA

I was just yesterday diagnosed with early RA. I have had 'palindromic' arthritis

for 1 1/2 years but it is getting more frequent and hitting different joints. I

have an anti-CCP of 117, but am sero-negative on my RF or Sed Rate. The

rheumatologist is talking about putting me on Plaquinil to start. I'm kind of

scared (my mom had severe RA) and not sure if this is the right med. I also have

thyroid issues and am on a low dose of Cymbalta for mild depression. Any

suggestions for me?
