Guest guest
I hear you Meg. I love to hang out with my farm animals. Listening to the Moos and chickens & pigs and hugging my milk goats. They really know how to listen and while they may not understand the words- they " feel " me and respond with gentle sweetness and affection. Yesterday I was trying to milk my goats and my hands were smarting and I just asked my wild child Rhapsody to stand still please and that I couldn't chase her around. She cocked her head, got on the stand and stood stock still for me. It was eerie! in SC Hi Love your approach. Personnally I sew and play with my puppies. Even if I don't feel like sewing, my dogs always want attention and they will come to me. All that unconditional love is like a giant hug. Guest guest
Oh I wished I lived near you. I so love animals and truly love goats. I lived across the street from a farm and they had beautiful goats. My children and I had the run of the fields. I went to visit the goats all the time, and sit on the hill with them. I named each one. When Buffy had her baby goats, I carried them over to my house, one at a time, so my children could see them running around the living room. OMG, they were all so cute and oh so sweet. A very fond memory of those times.  I am glad your goat knew what you needed and obliged by standing still. A great smile comes to my face imagining that scene. Enjoy!! Animals are just so wonderful and so loving. They love us no matter what.  Thanks for sharing your story.  Hugs,  Barbara From: phyllis crubaugh <phylliscrubaugh@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Critters as therapy- Meg Date: Thursday, September 9, 2010, 5:07 PM  I hear you Meg.
