Guest guest
Hi Red, Dieting is a paradox in and of itself. People go on diets to lose weight, and yet, in the majority of cases, most people end up gaining weight! We go on diets to shed the fat, but low calorie diets cause our body to make and store fat. When we are on a diet, we want to speed up our metabolism to increase the weight loss, but dieting decreases our metabolism. We go on diets with the intention of eating less, but after a period of restriction, we end up bingeing and eating larger quantities of food than we did before the diet. We go on diets so our bodies will look better and so we will be healthier, but each time we regain the weight, we regain the weight in our abdominal area, causing our bodies to change shape and increasing our risk of heart disease. We go on diets so we can look and feel better but dieting gives us headaches, makes us irritable and depressed, tired, and can cause dry skin, hair loss, and irregular periods. EVERYTHING about dieting is a paradox. B.
Guest guest
Ok, not done yet!!! Have to say a big amen to this! " amen! " I dieted big time before my second pregnancy only to gain it all as soon as I got pregnant...why? because I had not dealt with the reasons why I eat, I only memorized and quit eating...that's why I know IE (and I've come full circle back to it), really is the only way, as it is the " natural " way...the way God made our bodies to eat. I loved this post!!! Thank you! e > > Hello Everyone, > > I have been struggling lately with the desire to diet.
Guest guest
Dieting is the cause of insanity for me too - lol!!!
