It was immediately after the dura graft surgery that she developed what I called her new headache. It was the forehead area. The first one was very severe and then she continued with this headache (less intense) daily for about a year and a half, and did have occasions where it got totally out of control. She then had to have a shunt revision in February, and the new shunt has helped tremendously with these particular headaches. (she has had a shunt for hydrocephaluse since birth) I personally think that when the dura was opened, it aided in the old shunt not being able to work properly anymore. She did not have the frontal headaches before the dura was opened. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Anyone experience post surgical frontal headaches? I am three weeks post op and still having this type of headache. It is a pounding type and is most painful when I stand up from sitting or get out of bed, etc. I think I am doing well otherwise. Still a little dizzy and my vision is not quite right yet but overall I think I am recouperating well. I do have improvement in many areas. Thanks,
