Guest guest
There was an EFT person in this group a while back, but while she was a great believer and generous with sharing her knowledge, she also 'promoted' herself and strayed from the IE topic too much. I gave this a try myself, but I found it 'extraneous' and something that I couldn't easily add into my efforts re IE. Not to say that it doesn't have merit! But it just didn't 'fit' me right. You may want to do a search on EFT (spelled out too) and see if that group still exists. I'm sure you would get lots of that support there too. Guest guest
I think that you should go to Youtube.com or www.emofree.com to watch some people doing EFT to see how they are doing it, but there are variations out there...everyone does it their own specific way BUT it will give you a basic idea... The first step is identifyiing the tapping points that are used in EFT http://winningchanges.net/tappingpoints.html This page has a picture of the points basically there is: KC = Karate Chop point on the side of your hands above the wrist bone & below the pinkie finger EB = Inner Eyebrow on bone (either Rt or L or both sides) SE = Side of Eye - actually is the outer Eyebrow on the bone at the side of your eye (either Rt or L or both sides) UE = Under your Eye on the bone in the midle below your eye pupil UN = Under nose - right at point where upper lip meets nose CN = cleft between your lower lip and Chin The next step is your set-up phrase: CB = Collar bone point - The inner tip of your collar bone either or both sides UA = Under Arm - middle of side of bra - about 4 inches down from armpit UB = Under breasts where skin meets ribs or under nipple for men H = Top of Head (Not the back of your head) Side of fingers & thumb - Tap Side of each finger that is closest to the thumb of THAT hand with two fingers near the fingernail Thumbs - Tap the outside of each thumb near the fingernail w/ two fingers Gamut or Top of hand - between the knuckles of the pinkie and ring fingers move down just a bit to the fleshy area and tap there The site that Gail referred to has a power point presentation that I am going to look at now. Second, you would come up with your set-up phrase which is the the phrase that you will say three times while tapping your KC or Karate Chop point on one of your hands when you start tapping on yourself or someone else. Guest guest
For those interested in EFT (emotional freedom techniques), I would recommend checking out the website of Craig, the guru and " grandfather " of EFT: http://www.emofree.com/ Heaps and heaps of reading material, information and free downloads. Not my cup of tea, but I acknowledge that it seems to work very well for some people, and I appreciate the spirit in which this knowledge and its techniques are shared by the founders of the movement. Guest guest
What kind of tapping phrase do you use for weight loss? Even though I am ..........., I completely love and accept myself. What should I insert in the blanks, does anyone have any ideas? <3---- > > > > I am reading the manual, but I find it confusing. Guest guest
I do it a kind of my way EFT (like I do everything LOL). I use EFT to tap in " I Can Imagine " phrases. like.... -I can imagine someday soon setting down with a (you fill in the blank) and a spoon only being able to eat a third of it. -I can imagine some day soon when presented with XXX or ZZZZ I easily chose the one that will feel better after dinner. I say tons a day and they are changing me. Like with raisins....I kept saying -i can imagine some day soon a box of raisins lasting at least a week. It has worked wonders with them...I still like them but I don't go through a box in two days anymore. In fact some times I eat things I would have put raisins in and don't even want them in it.
