I finally convinced myself to go and see the doctors. I told the doctor

that I have a 2 and 3 yr old with chiari ..one with a syrinx and one not. I

told him that My symptoms was a lack of memory for time to time...even

when forgetting when I drive. My balance...wow..the last week has been

awful I have to hold on to or be near things to hold on to keep me standing.

Migraines for years. high blood pressure...adema of the legs that wouldn't

go away with water pills and so on and so forth....the doctor told me that I

needed to see a psychiartricts (sp) due to the amount of stress that I have

been under...my mom who is 53 keeps having multiple heart attacks the last

few weeks. I asked it if it could be chiari and he said he doubted it but

ordered an MRI for this Monday...If it comes up to show positive for chiari

I am going to make a follow up appointment with this doctor and

pscarasticallly say to this doc " its all mental though " and remind him that

he needs to listen to his patients or he sould move to a different

profession. sorry about the venting but I hate docs like that ...I wonder

how many more patients he don't believe...he did give me a medicine called

antivert...for my balance....it has done nothing as of yet. Have a great

day. hope it is warm and painless.
