Guest guest
Hey everyone, Hope this finds you all having a good day. Finally got to see my Rheumy today. I made a list of things so I wouldn't forget anything. One line said, " Stop being so clinical and pay attention to ME " . LOL. He took the list from me, and addressed each line one by one...EEK!!! He got to that line and said, " So, you think I'm too clinical? " ...and so the discussion began. I feel so much better and things went very well. It was the best appointment I ever had. He explained why he has to rely on certain tests for information and understands that I can and do have pain with an inflammation level of 1. This makes him question some of my meds. However, todays examination left me with an increase of MTX and back on Vitamin D 50,000 IU x a month. I had x-rays of hands and wrists, and feet and ankles. He noticed that something is up with my ankles and that I am putting my weight on my left to favor my right. He stated I have some kind of odd deformity going on and then said what I didn't want to hear that the RA is now in my ankles as well. Great. My right pinky is moving away from my other fingers...lol, why this makes me laugh is beyond me...all I can think of is when we were little we'd draw turkeys from our hands, remember that? Anyway, that was my visit today, productive, and helpful. Oh, and I have to have the H1N1 shot. I'm in the age range and in the disease/illness qualification range or something like that.
