Guest guest
I just replied to an email from Toni and mentioned the same back pressure; I think. With me, if I haven't gone, I feel every step I take in my lower back. Not real painful; but, can be quite uncomfortable. And after taking the walk, I usually manage to go. One helpful thing for me is to take Baking Soda with water. Helps with Acid Reflux and staying fairly regular. Can sometimes cause diarrhea; but, that's better than not going. About my lower back, an x-ray taken 8-9 yrs. ago showed that my lower vertebrae were practically fused together. Weird thing was the more the Chiropractor worked on it, the more pain I had. I was going @3 times a week for adjustments back then. I do wonder if I had trouble because of the Chiari--he also adjusted my neck. When I stopped going my lower back pain alleviated. Bak then the pain made it uncomfortable to get to sleep at night. Still find sleeping on couch to be the best way for me to sleep--can sleep slightly on my side (which I prefer) and have my back supported by the back of the couch. Guest guest
I know about vulsava > problems and i wonder if this is what this is all about. can just > going to the bathroom cause such problems and pain? Hi , Yes. " Eliminating " is a valsalva maneuver, and it can increase intercranial pressure and symptoms of chiari. Stool softeners may help. You're not alone. In private mail roughly 70% of " chiarians " have mentioned this. (no, I won't be naming people Chip ACM-1 4 years post-op and doing great ! Guest guest
Might want to try Raisin Bran and cranberry juice mixes on a regular basis. Herbal tea with senna help some Chiarians. Also, regularity equals regular timed meals. pressure during bowel movement > hello all > going out of my mind here.. i am NOT constipated.. i eat right and > go regularly.. but i feel i have a BIG problem here.. appreciate any > input from ya'll. > > I have had low back pain and pressure for some time now and it is > always worse when i have to go to the bathroom.
