Guest guest
Lynn, I'm copying below a blurb from my resume, which is in my " Education " section. This is how I handled it: ~~ Career Step medical transcription course: http://www.careerstep.com, 1-. Graduated with high honors, October 2, 2001 November 2000 to October 2001 Comprehensive course work (900 hours) in grammar and punctuation, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and editing/proofreading. Typed 909 reports and transcribed 579 reports. The practice transcriptions are 77% physician dictated, covering 18 medical specialties. Both acute care and clinic notes are included in the practice transcriptions. Final examination score was 96% on the objective portion and 103% on the transcription portion. ~~ HTH p.s. I'm about to enter the " big time " because with Rodeer, I'll have a min daily line count of 1080! They said they will give me a " little " time to get there, but they didn't say how long. I hope it's a couple of months and not a couple of weeks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rodeer employee (as of February 28) Career Step graduate, 10/02/01 Experience: 4 months My Home Page: www.renesue.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ----- Original Message ----- It's nothing to scoff at! That's about 3,617.33 lines per week, or 723.47 lines per day. More than I have under my belt, unless you count lines typed in classroom reports or e mail (too bad we can't get paid for that). I've just been " listening " to the figures tossed back and forth, and trying to get an idea of what I'm in for once I start. My other projects are nearing completion, after which I will do some " boning up " on transcription (I finished my coursework about a year ago) before starting to submit resumes and pounding the pavement. Which brings up a question...when asked how many reports I've typed, do I get to include all the reports typed in class or home-study programs? It will sound a lot better than " zero " .
