Hi, Bonnie! I'm new too. This really can be an alone feeling, but I'll

bet a lot of people just don't want to admit their feelings about

dieting and about food and what they put themselves through. If you

look around you, you'll see A LOT of overweight people. A fair amount

of them must be having some sort of off-track relationship with food.

You are not alone.

Hugs,

Mel

Welcome to the group Bonnie. Finding a network of support for IE is hard because there are so many people stuck in the diet mentality. But we ARE here and I look forward to getting to know you!

Bonnie welcome to the group you will find great support here. Eva

Hi Bonnie!

Welcome to the group. I understand what you mean about other people not quite understanding the Intuitive Eating thing. Dieting is so accepted in our world! The dangers, both physically and especially mentally, aren't really acknowledged. We're here on this great support group, tho!

Also, I see a nutritionist who counsels on Intuitive Eating - it really helps to check in with a professional and be able to talk about all the stuff that comes up as I learn to re-connect with and trust my body.
