Question about my 4 yr old (SCC?)

I am the one with ACM, but I am so worried about my 4 yr old right now. He's

suffered with nightly leg cramps for months now. Sometimes he gets them only 3

or 4 times a week, but lately its been every single night. He also gets

frequent nose-bleeds, and has many of the same childhood " problems " that I had

when I was his age -- fear of deep water, fear of heights (okay I still have

that one! LOL), leg cramps, muscle aches, and some headaches. He so rarely

complains, but these leg cramps are really getting out of control!

We've tried motrin and tylenol (children's strength) and lately started using

Sports Cream (kinda like BenGay) on his legs at night, but they don't seem to be

helping. He eats well, and has a very well rounded diet. He had a bout of

trouble with his liver in the early Spring of this year (his liver was attacked

by a virus, and his bilirubin levels were extremely high for about 2 weeks, but

are back to normal), and it seems that his leg problems have increased leaps and

bounds this last few months.

My husband says it's just " growing pains " , but I'm not sure I believe in

" growing pains " anymore... I meant to ask my doctor yesterday when I was in, but

forgot. I'm going to call and see about getting him in with me when I go back

next week for my yearly physical. But now that we're moving and changing jobs

AND insurance companies, I'm a little leary of getting into something that can't

be finished right away. I'm also leary of not doing anything and having to

convince a new doctor of everything that has been going on.

Any suggestions?

Jeana
