Guest guest
I am posting all over the place today... : ) In the past I usually ate way beyond the satisfaction point, usually to the point of being uncomfortably full. But I was fine with that. Probably because I was numbing myself and was not truely present in the act. Now that I am being present in these physical feelings and when I do eat beyond my satisfaction point I am incredibly uncomfortably full. Like way worse of a feeling than I ever recall. Like tonight my Mom made one of my favorite meals and I totally ate way too much of it. PLUS I ate one of my favorite flavors of icecream afterwards. I even knew when I had hit my satisfaction point but I pushed it because it tasted so good. Ah! Now I am sooooo uncomfortably full. Bloated, the whole shabang. But the thing is 1. I did not eat as much as I usually or can do and 2. this is definitely not the first time I have eaten beyond my satisfaction point. Obviously I need to really focus on this feeling so I can instill IE into more of my life. I feel like this is apart of the process. But I just thought the whole thing was really interesting and curious. I just learned a very valuable IE lesson tonight: If I want to eat everything I love I need to stop when I reach the point of satisfaction. If I don't then eating the extras like icecream will always result in feeling physically sick afterwards. Any thoughts? - K
