Guest guest
Hi, I'm new here. I've been thinking about getting this surgery for a long time. I've finally decided to do it after all these years of trying diet after diet, going to the gym and never seeing more than 14 pounds lost. I've researched the various methods and have decided bypass is the best bet. I went to my doctor today for a consultation. He referred me to a surgeon but told me that i'll have to wait a YEAR before they'll do the surgery. I have to go a YEAR under the supervision of the surgeon on a diet before they'll do the surgery. This seems so unfair. As if I haven't been trying already for years. I even was medically monitored before on the optifast diet (all liquid diet for 24 weeks)... Did all of you have to wait a year? Should I try to find another surgeon? Thanks for the advice.
