Guest guest
Thanks to all who replied to my question regaring Chiari and headaches/migraines. I can't possibly reply to each one individually as there were more replies than I expected. The reason I asked is that my wife has had bad headaches and migraines for years. She's been prescribed medication after medication but to no avail. They've been alot worse lately and she gets them every day, sometimes all day. Since my daughter had Chiari as well as a tethered spinal cord and since her mother and grandmother both had scoliosis, knowing that many ACM patients have spinal problems, I'd like her to get a brain MRI to rule out Chiari - I'd also like her to have a full-spine MRI. She doesn't have occipital headaches and occasionally has nausea and vision problems associated with the headaches and migraines. She has no other symptoms, although she does have back pains as well, although less frequently. She's somewhat skeptical of Chiari since she doesn't have occipital headaches and she doesn't have other symptoms typical of Chiari. She has an appointment at a headache clinic in January, but I'm fed up of all these drugs and I want her to have an MRI! Once more, thank you all for your answers. Much appreciated.
