God Bless,Dayna:)To: IntuitiveEating_Support From: helenhjones@...Date: Tue, 30 Dec 2008 00:31:15 +0000Subject: Hello everyone - I am finally coming forward. My name is Helen , and I live in New Orleans, LA. No more lurking or long term absentism, unless I have computer problems. I have been lurking in the beginning when I first join months ago. Thank you for notiflying me of membership updating. I realize that I could use some support from Intuitive Eating Support Network Community. I weigh 350 lbs, 5'8", wear a size 26w, I go the a gym maybe 3-4 months a year for bodybuildy and cardio on the epliptical machine. I just quit smoking cigarettes on Christmas day. I was smoking 5-15 cigarettes a week. I tore up the last 14 cigarettes I had. I love to eat. I have been consious of my overeating, and paying attention to my hunger. And I want to work more on knowing when I am truly hungry and comfortably full. I am going to read the threads again to become familiar with topics issues, and see what can be a benefit. I do not know what else to say, other then I knew I was coming back, and this time particpate. Send e-mail anywhere. No map, no compass. Get your HotmailĀ® account now. Guest guest
So glad to have you here and GOING for it too. This is not an overnight type of process and I know I sure needed and appreciated all the feedback and support I can get. As long as you don't give up on yourself, we won't give up on you either. Guest guest
Helen, It is nice to hear from someone so close to my home in Eeast Texas. Somehow it feels better to know that some of you are closer than i thought. I work in Longview Tx and LA is a nice neighbor for us here. I lurk too but this is a great network of people and I am gaining in baby steps from their wisdom. Melinda Get a free MP3 every day with the Spinner.com Toolbar. Get it Now. Guest guest
I thank you all for your welcome! So I am here, and reading some threads. And their is also a book I have to purchase. I think a list is in the files. I will be back later. > > My name is Helen , and I live in New Orleans, LA. > No more lurking or long term absentism, unless I have computer problems. > I have been lurking in the beginning when I first join months ago. > Thank you for notiflying me of membership updating. Guest guest
Helen, maybe you can print out the Book List and take it to your local library to find what you can get your hands on right away. I recommend Overcoming Overeating as the faster to read and easiest to understand. The Intuitive Eating book is much more 'meaty' with information and one that many end up wanting a copy for themselves too. Don't forget that any questions are most welcome.
