Guest guest
hi ya'll! i am desperately seeking anyone who has acm/sm that has had a laminectomy, which has caused a swan neck deformity. my doc. says that new studies show that people who are 3 plus years post-op that underwent the " routine " c1-2-3-4 laminectomies, (my case is c1-2), are now showing swan neck deformities, from the lack of stablity in the vertabrae. he says my head is like a pumkin on a stick, and that my head is falling off my vertabrae, because there is basically nothing holding my head up! due to the laminectomy, i would have been better off not to have under went the first sugery. if anyone else has a swan neck due to this, please contact me. if you have had sugery to correct this PLEASE contact me! i have been told that the sugery i am going to have to have to correct this has only been performed " maybe " 15 to 20 times if you combine all the top goo'roo's in the US. i am scared to death. If i don't consent to this sugery, i will be a quadraplegic within a short peroid of time. I have a 9yr. old son with chari, compliments of me, a 4 year old daughter who has not been tested yet, and a 1 year old who has not been tested yet. please contact me if you or someone you know has the swan neck. thank you in advance, and finding all of you thru this site in the past 3 weeks, has given me more hope, than any doctor or council has in 6 years. God bless you all sandy in arkansas acm/sm sugery 1-6-1995 tonsil disection duroplasty decompression c1-2 laminictomy shunt and now swan neck
