Hello everyone-

My name is le, and I started IE about two weeks ago. I

stepped on the scale today, and I wasn't pleased with what I saw. I

knew I shouldn't have, but I really couldn't help it. Still, I want to

continue on this path, I just wanted to know how the first months or

so went for people with IE eating experience.

Any advice and stories would be so helpful.

Thank you,

le

le, I too 'tested the waters' when I first started IE. I so

wanted to see 'results' confirmed by the scale that I got on it a

couple of times to see if I had lost weight. Those were hard days but

luckily I had also progressed enough with some IE practices that I

also realized that I was much happier with how I felt about food and

my eating so I took that as success and gave up the scale for good ;-)

I learned to think of IE as not weight lost but gaining waiting power

- waiting for hunger, waiting for food to taste wonderful and waiting

for my body to learn to re-trust that I would take care of it.
