Guest guest
I'm not sure who it was, but recently someone said that when they were at a social event they asked themselves the question, " How do I want to feel when this is over? " Or something to that effect. Today I was at a picnic on a small island on the west coast of Canada, the day was beautiful, the people all having fun. But as in all social situations I was feeling a little social anxiety. There was tons of food and snacks there. For a while I kept thinking of grabbing more to snack on even though I knew I wasn't hungry. Then the thought, " How do I want to feel when this event is over? " , popped into my head. I asked myself, " Do I want to feel stuffed, bloated, like throwing up, or do I want to feel happy, and content? " After that the thought of running over to the snack table never even entered into my mind. So a big thanks to whoever made that post. You helped me have a really terrific day today. Guest guest
That's what I love about this group - little gems of ideas that WORK. Plus we get to add them to our lives at our own time and fit. GOOD job Arnie and wonderful to hear that it also worked for you.
