I didn't mean to imply that daily shots would cause permanent emotional scaring. Your description is more accurate. We will also take the approach you described. Thanks for the feed back. Guest guest Posted January 8, 2000 Report Share Posted January 8, 2000 Hi Dennise and Everyone, Just so you know. Sometimes gh shots can " sting " if the medication used is the pre-mixed medication. It has a preservative in it which can cause a stinging sensation. I had originally started Jackie out on Nutropin AQ which arrives at the house pre-mixed. When I learned about the possibility of a stinging sensation I switched to Nutropin (not AQ). Jackie had never complained about a stinging, but the first time I gave her the new Nutropin which I re-constituted myself she said, " Mom, that didn't sting. " I was very surprised to hearhis because I didn't tell her I had changed the medication and she had never mentioned the stinging before.
