I know the diet will help them but how do you persuade other parents to take the plunge. >> I have a younger sister - who has 2 kids on the spectrum - both younger than my son Her daughter is 12 now in regular Ed and all A's - with very little by way of interventions - SPED preschool and K - then mainstreamed on 504 but aside from some social oddities for all appearances seems to be " recovered " - of course the social stuff is hard but.. her 4 year old is much more severely affected , and my Godson - I have been trying for 2 years to get her to try the diet - to no avail - she seems to be relying on minimal SPED preschool to make a difference - no ABA - like 3 hours a day 4 days a week ARGHHH - I apply the Serenity prayer to her and her resistance.
