Guest guest
Well, if I were on a diet, I would say that I totally blew it today. But by IE standards, I like to think that I am making some progress. Here is how my eating went today: 5:30am: getting ready to workout, but finding I'm starting to get hungry. I eat a banana to provide my workout a little fuel. 7:30am: hungry eat two full bowls of my favorite cereal (Golden Grahams). Completely satisfied (but not full)and didn't think about food for the rest of the morning. 11:30am: hungry again this time bagels sounded good...ate a small bagel with lowfat cream cheese, still hungry so ate regular size bagel with fat free cream cheese and finished off with container of yogurt (which I'm finding I don't like as much as I thought) Completely satisfied (but not full) 3:30pm: hungry with strong craving for chocolate and concocted this yummy dessert...golden grahams topped with marshmellows and dark chocolate chips, heated just slightly melted in the microwave. Enjoyed the desert to the max:} Was done with the sweet craving, but wanted something more substantial. Fixed some whole wheat tortilla chips, topped with refried beans, lowfat cheese, and fat free sour cream. Ate until I no longer enjoyed the taste. Threw the rest away (about 1/2) and walked away completely satisfied (but yet I was not to the point of being full). 6:00pm: totally NOT hungry, but time for family dinner. I just sat and enjoyed my family's company...had no desire to eat...and so I didn't! 8:00pm: finally hungry again. Heated up supper and ate until it no longer tasted good and threw the rest away. Somewhat satisfied. 9:00pm: sweet tooth is kicking in again and chocolate is just not cutting it. Ate 1 1/2 bowls of Raisin Bran with topped with some extra sugar. Satisfied again. So, looking back on today, I think this IE stuff is finally kicking in. I started reading "The 7 Secrets of Slim People" (Thanks Meg!!!:} ) Today I started doing the week 1 charting and was completely amazed at what I found. Part of the charting is to record what your mind is telling you with each meal. When I wrote out what I was thinking, I found that I was thinking stuff like "I ate too much" (even though I never even got to feeling full today), "That was too many calories", "I can't believe I just ate that!!!", "This sweet tooth has got to go". Until I actually wrote out my thoughts, I really had no idea how big of a presence the food police really was! Hoping I can take this info and make some progress... Have a good evening everyone!!! God Bless, Dayna:) Oh yea, just got a little chuckle. Dh and I are sitting down to watch tv for a little bit, he started for our snack drawer when I heard him say..."What am I doing???? I'm not even hungry!!!!" and he closed the drawer and walked away....guess I'm wearing off on him....lol!!!
