Guest guest
I stopped in at a fair trade coffee/chocolate shop today to pick up some Christmas presents. Well I found something for myself. They had Mayan worry dolls...with personalized worries. And they had a cute little fat one for weight worries. Here's what it says on the back of the package: Worry No More There is a story that when the Mayan people of Guatemala have worries they tell them to the worry people and then place the worry people under their pillows at night. By morning, the worry people have taken their worries away. Having a bit of trouble with the extra pounds? Let the Weight Worry doll help you in the weight loss department. Now I don't think this doll is going to magically help me lose weight! But it's nice to think that it will take away my worries about my weight! And it's really cute! I was kinda embarrased to buy it. I felt like it was announcing I'M FAT to everyone in the store. But I got it anyway. Then I realized on the way home that all I bought was that and 3 chocolate bars! And the diet police started going crazy in my mind....the clerk was probably thinking 'yeah she's buying a doll to help lose weight. Not buying the chocolate bars would help her more.' But chances are she probably didn't even notice and was most likely thinking about getting done work in a 1/2 hour or the nutso guy in front of me that kept questioning the price of his muffins! Guest guest
I think a worry doll is a sweet thought If you have to tell the doll your worries, that means you have to know what those worries are! And awareness is the first step towards resolution :) ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > I stopped in at a fair trade coffee/chocolate shop today to pick up some Christmas presents.
