Guest guest
Hi Carol, Another cake, which my son loves, is here: http://nuttymeatfruit.blogspot.com/2007/11/sugar-free-grain-free-scd- birthday-cake.html (I don't use the frosting, but instead, I whip Spectrum shortening, honey, vanilla, and some butter together for frosting). Enjoy, a Here is the recipe: Cake Ingredients: 4 Eggs and 2 Egg Whites 2 tsp Baking Soda ½ cup Honey ¼ cup Nut or Seed Oil ½ cup fruit (Apple, Pumpkin, Ripe Banana? Pick one, or none—it's your birthday!) ½ tsp: Cinnamon, Ginger ¼ tsp: Nutmeg, ground Cloves 4 Cups Almond Flour Frosting Ingredients (from Cooks.com) 1 cup Honey 2 Egg Whites Method: Combine all cake ingredients and bake in two 8 " pans at 325 for approximately 40 minutes or until light brown and cooked through. Once cake has cooled: " Boil honey approximately 10 minutes in heavy saucepan. Honey will turn dark. Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour honey in fine stream into egg whites while beating. Frost cake immediately. " Note: attend the boiling honey – it becomes quite bodacious! > > > http://uclbs.org/recipes/desserts/sue14datecake.php > > Here is the link for Sue's Fourteen Date Cake and Bavarian Cream > Frosting. > > > Carol F. > Celiac, SCD 8 years,MCS, Latex Allergy > http://www.celiac.com/authors/143/Carol-Frilegh > http://www.talkaboutcuringautism.org/gfcf-diet/sc-diet.htm >
