daughter diagnosed

My 15 year old daughter was diagnosed as having a chiari after a few

months of illness last year.

She had decompression surgery last June and recovered quite well

aside from the pretty bad head aches.

She was diagnosed quite quickly due to some of my problems. It

appears that she has got some of my genetic problems.

She has been having her arm swell up and pain and cramp in a couple

of her fingers as well as the continuing head aches.

She has recently had another mri and is to see the consultant on 22nd

this month.

I am not very clear about this condition as her surgeon gave me the

impression that she had surgery and would now be well. I have been

reading some info on chiari and am very concerned that the docter has

not given me enough info on her future health.

Can anyone help me understand what this condition will mean to my

daughter and what we can expect for her future.

I understand that no one person has the same symptons but would be

grateful for any info that anyone can give me. Many thanks. Tina.
