Hi I am new to list and needing some help with questions?

Hi MY name is kelley and i live in Boston, Mass. I just had an open

RNY on October 27th 1999. Not even 5 months ago. I just today found

out from my Primary DR that I am indeed pregnant. I am very upset

right now but, also confused. I have called my Surgeons office and

talked to the MD there and he said he was going to discuss this with

my surgeon. He also said that they usally recommend you wait 2 years

after a gastric bypass to get pregnant but atleast 1 year post op.

Where i am only almost 5 months post op I am scared and upset and I

don't know what to do. He does plan to talk to the surgeon and then

get back to me but i was wondering if anyone else has gotten pregnant

as soon as I did. I tottally did not plan this but it's so hard to

weigh my options. Part of me is so angry because I just dropped 91lbs

in almost 5 months and now this. I am also concerned that if I keep

the baby that I will be putting myself and the baby at risk. I mean

the whole malabsorbtion thing and the vitamins etc...

Anyone out there with any advice or information would be greatly

appreciated. I don't know what to do and my Primary is going to call

me in the AM to discuss options... Until then i am just awaiting my

surgeons office to call me back which can be who knows when.
