Guest guest
Actually it's more of an individual choice in taking probiotics with meals or alone. Some people find their bodies tolerate probiotics better when taken with food. Many "experts" say taking probiotics alone to be more effective. However many people (I'm one of them) find their body's immune system responds to the probiotics when taken by themselves, but ignores the probiotics when taken with food. My philosophy is to do whatever helps my body cope with something I'm swallowing, so it doesn't overreact or develop a sensitivity or an allergy to the item. So I take my acidophilus capsule with food, and I don't take it every day unless I'm on antibiotics. This way the probiotics do some good; once my immune system responds, I'm set back for several days recovering, or worse, I develop a sensitivity to the item and can't take it at all without severe reaction.
