I forget the brand name; didn't buy any. I got some pork strips that were sliced exactly like bacon from a butcher store; didn't have any liquid smoke, but I'm sure some seasoning would have produced a much more bacon-like product! I've gotten mine from the Whispering Pines Farm here in Louisiana. Guest guest
I recently made my own bacon from pork belly - very easy - I used the recipes on SCDrecipe.com, but didn't smoke it, and it came out great. One brand that does not have sugar (honey instead) is Hempler's Natural Uncured Bacon. They are in Ferndale, WA, so I don't know how local they are or if they distribute to other parts of country. a Sammamish, WA > >sugar free, scd legal bacon.. anyone know of a source.. grass fed even better! > > I've gotten mine from the Whispering Pines Farm > here in Louisiana.
