Guest guest
I make diluted coffe every morning. I use a cone shaped filter and paper liners, set that on my mug and measure out two mugs of water to one measure of coffee and pour boiling water over. I add vanilla and saccahrin. That is my limit for the day since we do not use " decaf " on this diet. > is weak coffee considered to be something advanced? > i have been on the diet 3 months. > > i am wondering what the ratio would be > if i made a big pot of coffee > water to coffee? > > Carol F. Guest guest
It's utterly subjective, since it depends onthe coffee and the pot and other things.Do what you normally do, but add lesscoffee. Can't help you with coffee -- I don't drink it, and my husband's allergic to it. The one thing to keep in mind is that caffeine in beverages can increase urgency. We don't use de-caff. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
You can if you can stand the taste - yogurt and coffee not being terribly mixy things from a culinary POV. (It's just weird.) There are also lacteeze drops you can send away for, where you put some drops into cream for 24 hours, and then you can have it in coffee. (Only small amounts, it's not suitable for making whipped cream with it.) http://www.digestmilk.com/lacteezetabs.html Or you can just get used to black coffee. Or wait 6 months until you can try almond milk or coconut milk. Incidentally, giving up milk with coffee proved to be the hardest thing I had to get used to before I made the decision to plunge into SCD. I had already stopped eating lots of other things - so I decided to try almond and hazelnut milk in the coffee - which were good, but of course, I could only find commercial brands with sugar already added, but I kept looking. That was before I discovered the recipes on various SCD websites. At this point I'm used to it, sometimes I drink it plain, sometimes I add honey and cinnamon and vanilla, but when I think of coffee, I still think of it with milk or half and half in it. Guest guest
Only the lacteez drops? Because there are tabs too. > There are also lacteeze drops you can send away for, > where you put some drops into cream for 24 hours, > and then you can have it in coffee.
