ALRIGHT IAN!!!!! I know he will do just fine!! Of course, he will come

up against some obstacles, but ALL children do with or without RSS.

Similar thing happened to at Sunday School. He was playing at the

little kitchen and a larger kid came up and was trying to " nudge "

away. just nudged back even harder. I must proudly say that

won the " nudging " contest!!! ha. ha. ha. won't always get what he

wants, but that's part of life and that's okay too!

Enjoy Kindergarten and " try " and put your fears to rest because they are

only young once!

Take care...............

Missy,

I'm Glad to hear all went well with Ian at school. It made me chuckle

because

I can see my son doing the same thing. He has 4 more years before school but

..the attitude is there now

(mom to 19 mos. 12lbs 4oz. 26 1/4 in.).

Storm starts Pre-K on next Tuesday. I am soooo excited, but not nearly as

excited as he is. They were really impressed with him when we visited to

get signed up. there are a couple of other really small children in his

class as well which made me more comfortable.

So I just thought I would share. We go for his 4 year well check up today,

I can't wait to see what his stats are!!!

  • 5 months later...

No problem sending it to the list.. My only real concerns I guess wood be

her ability to have enought stamina (sp?) for the whole day because classes

start at 7:35 am to 1:40 pm. Her school is actually great for her because

it is pre-school, K and 1st grade only. No stairs are involved in this

school which is great. There are ramps where the stairs should be. The cafe

is set up with portable tables and the kids that want to buy go up to a

table. I am involved very much in the school and tte has gone there

since preschool. Any time I run into a concern the principal and teachers

all try to come up with a solution.

One problem today was that tte had to go to the bathroom during gym

class - but realized that she could open the doors to go but could probably

not get back out so therefore she wet her pants...Thank god for navy blue

pants.

Sorry for the rambling - I usually just hang back and read what everyone has

to say but since I just had the meeting with her teacher (another hurdle to

overcome) this has started to weigh on my mind. Like I said before am I just

worrying because of RSS. My middle daughters birthday is in Sept just like

tte and I had no concerns about sending her to grade 1 when the time

came. Maybe Im just making tooo much out of nothing.

Buses are not too much of a concern - we have matrons that ride on the bus

and tte sits up front with her....

Well any advice will be greatly appreciated..I guess when I come out of the

wood work - boy do I have a lot to say..Sorryyyyy.

Thanks

mom to tte 5yrs 27ish lbs G-tube GH....
