Opportunity Upcoming Request for Proposal:Implementation of the Health and Human Services Office on Disability I Can Do It, You Can Do It! Program In early August, New Editions will distribute a Request for Proposals (RFP) to implement the HHS Office on Disability I Can Do It, You Can Do It! Program and collect data about the progress of participants. The I Can Do It, You Can Do It! Program is an exciting nation-wide initiative supporting physical activity, nutritional awareness, fitness and healthy lifestyles for children and youth with disabilities. Interested applicants will be required to prepare

and submit a short proposal that will be reviewed by an expert panel. Five community organizations, public school systems, and/or universities will be selected and awarded $5000 to implement the program within their organization. The program uses a turn key approach and experts will provide training, resource materials and technical assistance to support the selected organizations. This is your opportunity to join other organizations that have successfully completed the program over the last several years: New Editions anticipates accepting applications in mid-September 2008, making awards by early October 2008 and beginning the program at the new sites in early November 2008. The RFP will provide specific details about the implementation tasks and requirements, proposal instructions and the competitive process. For more information
