Guest guest
Barb, You are doing AWESOME!! I love your determination. I know it is hard to NOT stress about everything, but try not to. You will go through so many changes (and we will be right here with you through them) but the best of all is how GOOD you will feel and how HEALTHY you will be. BIG HUGS, Bobbi -- What is going on with Barb??? Hello I just wanted to update on what is going on with me. When I went for my seminars and consultation they told me to lose 30 pounds. I joined Weight Watchers. I have had a couple of good weeks and a couple of bad weeks. All in all I have lost 13.4 lbs. and have 14.6 lbs to go to get my BMI at the required 50. I feel that I have been doing really well. One thing that I have done is line up walking partners for different nights of the week. I have been regularly walking 3 days/nights a week and that is what is really contributing to my weight loss. On June 20, I will be going to Redding to meet with surgeon. I hope that he sees that I have been working hard to lose the weight and sets the date. Yesterday I really was starting to look at the surgery and what that is really going to mean. It scared me a little. I am 36 years old and have never been normal sized and I really cannot grasp the concept that I will be normal sized. I having the surgery knowing that I am going to be healthy, but am excited about the fact that men may actually notice me now. Well I better stop for now because this has gotten very long. Guest guest
Hi Barb, First I want to say AWESOME JOB!! You are doing really well. Keep it up. Before you know it, you will be ready for surgery. Second, I know how you feel. I am going through that right now with the men. We have hidden ourselves for whatever reasons through out our life. Now that we are going to be more noticed, we have to understand why so that we can process best. My first thought was, " NOW " I am ok because I am looking better, had I of been the same 343 lbs, they wouldn't have looked twice. However, that is not really the case I am finding. It is all about how we see ourselves. Now that I am losing the weight, I am becoming more noticed because I have the confidence to put myself out there. I am more outgoing and happy. That shows like a bright light. I cannot tell you how many people tell me now, that NEVER knew me before the major weight gain, how fun and enjoyable I am to be around since they notice I am happier. I now understand the difference. CONFIDENCE and Loving yourself makes ALL the difference at ANY size!! Shauna happieruth2 wrote: Hello I just wanted to update on what is going on with me. Guest guest
Barb, Way to go on the 13.4 lbs!!! That is awesome!!!! I'm also 36 and I have bounced all over the place with my weight through out my life. Being normal sized will open doors you never knew were there. It will be a roller coaster of emotions, some crapy but mostly good. I'm so excited for you!!!!!! HUGS!!!! > > Hello I just wanted to update on what is going on with me.
