Guest guest
Orlinda, Eat if you are hungry and don't worry about bugs. If you are eating the right food they can stage all the tantrums they want but will get starved out! > How do you know if you are really hungry or if it's the bad bugs? If you're hungry and you make the right food choices (protein, low carb veggies) then I would guess it doesn't matter so much " who " is hungry. Is that right? If you make the right food choices, you'll nourish yourself. If you make the wrong food choices, you'll feed, rather than starve, the bad bacteria. You might also wish to be certain you're drinking enough. I often find a small glass of water can quiet my hunger feelings. But when you're healing, you may need the calories in order TO heal. Sometimes I have a small glass of water AND a snack. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
I second this. I find that many times through the day when I think I am hungry, I am actually thirsty. Once I drink some water, the hunger goes away and with it cravings for certain foods. I always have a big glass of water available wherever I am and if I am out and about, I bring it in a Nalgene or glass container. Water seems to stabilize my system...when I am hydrated my intestines behave way better, in all sorts of ways.
