Hi All –

As I am sure you have all heard by now, talk show host Savage had some pretty negative and ignorant comments about children with autism. I have included in this e-mail a link that will allow you to see his comments from the show. I have probably had somewhere around 100 e-mails from parents, national organizations, etc regarding Mr. Savage and his opinions. I chose not to send this out until now because I wanted to see what we can actively do about this situation. Today, I was contacted by Fox 35 who will be doing a segment on the controversy this Friday, July 25th. I will be their guest in the 7:00 AM hour. My hope is that through the ignorance of Mr. Savage can come a unique opportunity for autism awareness here in Central Florida . My focus will be on

sending the right message about the need for support and understanding in a community in which many individuals with autism reside.

Please feel free to share your opinions with me as I will read everything as I begin preparing for the interview.

I’m glad to see some good is coming from the Mike Savage tirade.

I’m still trying to find any harm done.
