Guest guest
Thanks a lot, Lucy for your input! You are an expert in this field, obviously. I will love to attend your lecture as well. I will follow your instructions and let you know.Anika.Subject: Re: gluten Ig G testing? To: sList Date: Thursday, June 5, 2008, 7:04 PM Anika, You do not have to do testing in order to start the diet, but if you feel more confortable doing the testing first you have to do the IgG food sensitivities. There are two laboratories that do the test, one is Great Plains and they run 92 food for $150, the other lab is Alletes and they run 96 foods for $129 and they also give you a diet specifically made for you child by a nutricionist, and it includes a shopping list for your convenience. If you do not want to do the test, you can start by eliminating casein only. do not replace casein with milk, try to use rice or almond milk, also be careful when you but cheese or other products because even though they are made of rice or goat they do contain casein also. eliminate casein for at least 3 to 4 weeks and see if you notices any changes in your child, then eliminate gluten, sugars, colorants and if it is posssible try to rotate the foods you give your child. There is a good book taht you can get, is call special diets for special kids, and parents love it. Hope this helps Lucy > > hallo, I am Anika...a very new member! & nbsp; I just wanted to get some inputs regarding gluten free diets. & nbsp; Are we supposed to do a Gluten and casein Ig G testing prior to starting the diet? & nbsp; I hear it is about $130 . & nbsp; Also is an Ig E testing acceptable as an alternative? I am so confused. Pls help. Are there any parents who are trying the diet without the Ig testing to rule out allergy? > Thanks a lot! & nbsp; God Bless all our Angels. > anika. >
