Guest guest
Hi Tara, I can't help much, but I also take synthroid and I have to have my blood tested once every 4 to 6 weeks due to being pregnant. . . and every time my perscription changes. During the last couple of weeks before my blood test I get really irritable and then when I start the new perscription I feel better. I don't think anyone will think you're a bad mother for losing weight during pregnancy. I have a cousin who never had surgery and by the time her third child came she was at her goal weight. She just did better with her dieting when she was pregnant. She said it gave her incentive to be good and it worked. She looked radiant every time. Just keep up with the vitamins so you don't get sick. take care Diane
Guest guest
Tara Lynn, I was 3 months post-op when I got pregnant AND, with my first one 9 years ago, I took 5 pregnancy tests, 4 were positive and one was negative and I was NOT pregnant. I went to my OB/GYN and he put me on fertility pills and I did get pregnant the next month but don't let anyone tell you you cannot get a false-positive!! it happens!! As far as my pregnancy goes, all is well. The baby is growing well and I'm due in 4 months. If you are pregnant, just keep taking your vitamins every day and you'll be fine. Good luck. Guest guest
, Thanks for asking! I have kind of gone into lurk mode because I am in limbo. After having a positive urine test at home - my blood test came back negative. HOWEVER, I have been pregnant 2 times before (lost the first at 20 weeks) and I know well the physical symptoms of pregnancy - and BOY are they there!!! Starting with the general fatigue, followed by the migraine headaches, breast soreness, nausea followed by intense hunger, and to top it all off - there is nothing to compare to the sudden urgent need to urinate that sneaks up on you when you are pregnant. OK - what does all of this sound like to you???? I was on fertility meds for a few months before getting PG with my son(now 19 months)and then I had very irregular periods for a while after having my son (due to untreated hypothyroidism and diabetes!) - so - I have taken probably 50 pg tests in my life and never, NEVER have I had a false positive. Granted, it was extremely light - but I have used that brand before without that problem! Also - I was kind of expecting to get a period this past week. Even though I had that spotting for a month - my period was due to come. NOW - granted, all of this could be the haggering effects of this estrogen surge I am told I am experiencing due to the rapid weight loss - but I'll be durned if my instincts don't tell me something else! BUT - if I had enough HCG to turn a pg test positive - you would certainly think it would show up on a blood test! I have even had that " sore muscles/sit up feeling " you get on the sides of your abdomen in early pregnancy - and I don't think I could imagine that!! Does anyone know how far the estrogen surge can go in making my body think it was pregnant without actually being pg?? Could it trigger relaxin and other body chemicals? I even have milk coming out of my breasts and I have not breastfed in over a year! I figure I will wait a few weeks and test again at home if I still think I am pg and see what happens then! If anyone can shed any light on my situation - I would love the info! Thanks for your support and good luck on your pregnancies and trying to conceive! - Tara Lynn RNY 6/3/99 lost 64 lbs as of yesterday! --- J wrote: > > > Tara Lynn be sure to let us know as soon as you can > how your results come > out..
