Guest guest
Hi Geta I routinely make the date loaf recipe (using no honey and no yogurt) from BTVC; the recipe makes 3 small loaves, so I always have one loaf in my freezer. I can only tolerate one piece every few days, so a batch of this bread lasts several months. For muffins I use variations of most of the muffin recipes in BTVC and all the other SCD cookbooks. These days I rarely even open a cookbook to make muffins; just throw things together depending on my mood. It's a very basic recipe (again, no honey and no yogurt), and I just vary the flavorings. I can only tolerate one muffin per day (so my digestion can cope), and need to vary the flavor (so my immune system doesn't react) so I always have several bags of muffins of different kinds in my freezer. Haven't tried any of the recipes for cheese-flavored breads, crackers and muffins for a year or two. I gave up trying to eat cheese. They sound wonderful, though. I do miss salty-crunch. Kim M.
