Guest guest
Bob, <She came up to me several weeks later at a support group meeting (which I facilitate for Dr. M)> I am trying to get a support group going for my surgeon. Would you mind giving me some pointers and such? I am not sure how to get it all started. Send out letters or make phone calls? Do you serve refreshments? How many people do you have at yours? Where do you meet? House, restaurant, office? I am planning on having the first one at my house, on a Saturday afternoon. I don't think there will be that many people, but I haven't contacted anyone yet. Doc is very supportive, but his office staff are not the most helpful! (Medical university, state jobs and are not interested in a support group. Have been real quick to point out that the nutritionist has tried it before and it didn't work.) I am being patient with them but it has come down to me going to the office and pulling all of the files to get the addresses and phone numbers myself. If anyone has any thing they would like to offer, please do. Thanks a bunch! Blessings!
