Guest guest
Dawn, i too was under the impression that with PLACE it's a different situation and if other area schools werent' maxed out that I could opt to look @ and possibly enroll my daughter in one of the alternate schools however the person who overseas the ESE prek program in the North Area school district was not doing anything to help my daughter I asked if Tradewinds was maxed or Quiet Waters and she said no however Winston Park is my home school and take it or leave it. I feel like she just didn't want to be bothered with my child rather than seeing what other alternative there is time is also of an essence... It's the begining of the year less kids as the year goes on and kids turn 3 the PLACE program fills up so thi sis something that I need to address and resolve as quickly as possible. I am so frustrated and in disbelief that rather look into other area PLACE programs she siad it was our ONLY option. I have also heard from various parents that this is not so and have also spoken to a parent who is an aide @ a PLACE program and she also stated that boundaries are no big deal with pre K kids that putting her in an alternate school should be no problem if the class is not maxed out.. Which they aren't Thx Aileen > > > Subject: Contacted North Area School Board Regardind PLACE @ Winston Park NO LUCK! > To: sList > Date: Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 9:31 AM > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > Thank you so much for everyone's responses to my situation in > reagrds to the PLACE program @ Winston Park.
